With one of the largest malls in Austin close by, Bee Caves Woods is also close to shopping, downtown, Zilker Park (just across MoPac) and the Barton Creek Greenbelt. Zilker Park has Barton Springs pool for swimming, picnic areas, soccer fields, a large playground area, a hillside theater, and a small train, so there is no need to have parks in the neighborhood. Bee Caves Woods also has a state of the art community library.
