Brodie Heights

Brodie Heights is a Garden Home Condominium Community, developed by DR Horton in 2007. The community is located in far South Austin near the intersection of Brodie and Davis Lanes. It is a gate controlled community with a community swimming pool and a greenbelt alongside the entrance road.Brodie Heights consists of two phases of spacious condos, and is still growing. Like many new subdivisions throughout Austin, you can tour completely decorated models on site, and take a look at a map showing what units are currently available. If you are working with a REALTOR®, the sales office would like you to bring that person with you on your first visit. If you’re seeking a home in south Austin, but aren’t quite ready for full-scale house ownership, this community is well worth a look. Homebuyers in Brodie Heights can find well-designed homes with options ranging from one-bedroom homes to three-bedroom condos with private backyards. The Brodie Heights community offers six distinct floor plans from which you can choose. The smallest condo, at around 1,000 sq ft, has one full and one half bath, with one bedroom and a garage. Some of the larger ones are a bit over 1,600 sq ft, and offer two bedrooms, two and a half baths, and a two-car garage. The exteriors are constructed of wood and stone, and have small balconies. The interiors make a more than pleasing first impression! You will find ample storage and closet space, plush carpeting, and kitchens with stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, and tiled floors. All units have a master bath with both a shower and a tub, just off the master bedroom. Students in Brodie Heights are serviced by Austin Independent School District, and attend Cowan Elementary School, Covington Middle School, or Bowie High School. The Brodie Heights community is about a 20 minute drive from downtown Austin during average traffic. The community is just minutes away from many of south Austin’s major thoroughfares, including Davis, Slaughter, Manchaca and MoPac. Close to shopping, restaurants and other conveniences, residents will find a multitude of choices for entertainment, dining, shopping, and things to do. Many residents head over to the Goat Cave Karst Preserve, to enjoy the eight acre preserve which sits on a portion of Edwards Limestone, and holds several water-formed caves, sinkholes and smaller openings. The Karst Preserve trail is a pleasingly shaded path meandering around honey-combed limestone. Austin locals in the area also appreciate this preserve for its large bat population, which helps keep mosquitoes in the area to a minimum. Just south of William Cannon Road, between MoPac and I-35, Brodie Heights is in a great location! If privacy, security, low maintenance, and high style at an affordable price are what you’re looking for, Brodie Heights is definitely an option you’ll want to check out!
