Fort Worth, Texas Real Estate
Dallas and Fort Worth are linked in name and road ways but the cities couldn’t be more different from one another if they tried. Where Dallas fancies itself as sophisticated and elite, Fort Worth is “down home” and comforting. Fort Worth’s roots are deep in the cattle business and still is the rodeo capital of the West.
Fort Worth is the seventeenth largest city in the United States and the fifth largest city in Texas. They always want to remind people that Texas still can secede from the United States and it wouldn’t hurt their feelings none to do so.
One can still walk down the streets of Fort Worth and see a real cowboy (as opposed to store bought). They still tip their hats to the ladies and great people with a welcoming “howdy”. This seems to be their nature.
Fort Worth’s Historic Stockyards is the center of a lively night life as well as a place to take the entire family for the day. Dallas and Fort Worth started out as the crossroads for the Texas cattle drives and the railroads played an important part in their growth. One trip down to the historic district will catch you up on the history of Texas quickly.
Real estate in Fort Worth is still a very solid investment. For more information on buying or selling a home, please call Karen Cooper at 214-801-8350.
